DVD GIVEAWAY: Sets of 'The Ghost and Mrs. Muir' to Best Suggestions for Releases of '60s & '70s Shows
[Editor's Note: The DVD sets of "The Ghost and Mrs. Muir" are coded Region 4 and require using a region-free player in the United States.]
The plethora of good things from purchasing the reviewed first and second season sets of the US '60s fantasycom from Australian-based Madman Entertainment extend beyond leading to a terrific interview with "Muir" star Harlen Carraher and getting on the Madman press list to that company offering three copies of the S1 set of "Muir" for an Unreal TV giveaway. Unreal TV has these sets, which have never been released in the U.S., and will send them from the U.S.
In the spirit (no pun intended) of "Muir," Unreal TV will award a set to each of the three contestants who submit the best entries regarding which U.S. live-action or animated TV show from the '60s or the '70s that either has not been released on DVD here or has been discontinued should be released.
PURELY as an example, someone may advocate releasing the 1966-67 sitcom "It's About Time" from "Gilligan's Island" and "Brady Bunch" creator Sherwood Schwartz. That entry might read as follows.
"I love the 'Gilligan's Island' aspects of the catchy theme song explaining the premise of the show and of the two astronauts getting stranded in pre-historic times. I further like how they tried to keep the show fresh by flipping the concept halfway through the series."
Please submit entries as comments to this post; all readers are encouraged to comment on those submissions, The deadline for entering is 11:59 p.m. US ET on May 31. The Unreal TV panel of judges will announce the winners via @tvdvdguy on Twitter on June 1, 2015.
Sofa spuds start your remotes and good luck.
